What’s Important
to Us

If you’re considering coaching in this area of ministry, trust is crucial. If this doesn’t answer your questions, feel free to contact us and we’ll share more.

Vision

To assist faith communities in discovering and pursuing their own next steps towards welcoming LGBTQ people.

Mission

We create safe space for faith leaders to explore and identify what LGBTQ inclusion could look like in their community.

Values

Safety – from past experiences we understand that these conversations can be emotionally intense and divisive so we seek to create judgment-free spaces for each leader to do their own processing.

Curiosity – we seek to create an environment where everyone can be both authentic and question themselves and others with honesty and graciousness.

Journey – we recognize that each of us and each of our communities has our own unique next steps in the journey with Jesus when it comes wrestling with the dynamics of LGBTQ inclusion.

Beliefs about God

We hold to the Apostle’s Creed as our statement of faith.*

We believe Christians are known best by loving God and loving others.

Beliefs about Sexuality, Gender and Marriage

We recognize that there is a spectrum of belief amongst faithful Christians about most aspects of theology, including about sexuality, gender, and marriage.

We approach the theological perspectives of others with curiosity and respect.

We do not attempt to steer or manipulate others towards a predetermined outcome (e.g., affirming, “Third Way,” or not affirming).

We honor the authority of scripture and we always seek to stay centered on Jesus.

*The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
 born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
on the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** Church,
the communion of saints,
 the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
 and the life everlasting.
